Our second year as a Research School sees us busier than ever, with a number of upcoming events and training packages for your diary. We look forward, as ever, to working with teachers from across Blackpool, Lancashire, and Cumbria.

Launch events for EYFS literacy and Secondary Science guidance reports
Our ever-popular twilight events continue this half term with sessions looking at two recently released EEF guidance reports.

On Wednesday 26 September, we look at the EYFS literacy report (‘Preparing for literacy’ – Download here). This FREE event takes place from 4.00 – 5.30pm, and can be booked here: Book Now

On Wednesday 17 October, we look at the Secondary science report (‘Good Secondary Science Teaching’ – Download here). This FREE event takes place from 4.00 – 5.30pm, and can be booked here: Book Now

Blackpool Key Stage 3 literacy project
Our involvement in this exciting and innovative cross-town project continues this half-term. We will be welcoming the ‘evidence-informed’ leads from each project school to undertake the first day of a 5-day Research Leads training programme, whilst the ‘literacy’ leads from each project school will be treated to the expert training of Alex Quigley from EEF.

Maximising the Impact of the Pupil Premium
We are delighted to begin this FREE programme this half term, and will be welcoming 30 senior leaders from across the town to our training. Very limited places are still available: Sign up here

Training courses now open for booking
